This is your first step towards diving leadership, and necessary training to be a responsible diver. This course prepares you to evaluate and cope with hazards, whether they impact you or others, and is great for increasing confidence & safety.

Classroom and pool training prepare you for open water exercises, including search patterns and simulated rescues.

Prerequisites	Open Water Diver certification, Advanced Open Water Diver, plus current First Aid & CPR required (recommended: Emergency First Responder program).
Minimum age	15 years.
Class size	Minimum 4, maximum 8 students per instructor.
Classroom location	Huron Scuba.
Pool location	Slauson Middle School.
Open water location	Spring Mill Pond.
Equipment provided by student	Personal snorkeling equipment (must own) and complete scuba diving equipment (may rent or own). Each buddy team must own one set of required specialty equipment: rescue rope throw bag and reel.
Equipment provided by Huron Scuba	Emergency first aid and oxygen kits.
Course cost	$245 per student.
Required books & materials	PADI Rescue Diver Crew-Pak w/pocket mask ($69.99) Or PADI Rescue Diver DVD ($26.99) Or PADI Rescue Diver Manual w/Slate (if you own a pocket mask) ($34.99)
Optional books & materials
Additional expenses	Equipment rental. Air fills. Park fees ($5 per day). Meals, gas, tolls.
