March 27-29, 2009
 Some
people go just for the BBQ Dinner excursion on Saturday
night. Others go because they want to see the St. Louis
Arch on the way home. And we all go for the fun of it
and Bonne Terre's funky diving. Absolutely any diver
will have a great time keeping their diving skills sharp
during this adventure with the Huron Scuba Dive Team.
Bonne Terre is the world's largest INDOOR man-made fresh
water dive site. It has 100+ feet
visibility with fully-illuminated guided dives of
from simple to challenging. Sights include mammoth architecture, calcium falls,
oar carts, scaffolding, grating, staircases, slurry
pipes, pillars and elevator shafts. Packages include two
nights hotel and four dives.
Open Water Diver
certification dives are available on this trip!
Absolutely any diver will have a great time keeping their diving skills sharp this winter with this holiday weekend trip
with the Huron Scuba Dive Team. Bonne Terre, a national historic site, is the world's largest man-made fresh water dive
site. This was the United States' largest mine for over one hundred years before closing in the 1930's. It boasts 100+
foot visibility year-round with illuminated guided dives of increasing difficulty. This is one of those dive sites that
everyone has to do at least once.
Sights include mammoth architecture, calcium falls, ore carts, scaffolding, grating, staircases, slurry pipes, pillars
and elevator shafts. All of the diving is escorted along trails in this "Billion Gallon
Lake". You will have an
opportunity to appreciate the scale of the operation with an optional tour of the mine. With constant air and water
temperatures, the diving conditions are always perfect in the mine. See the Bonne Terre color brochure for more
information. Also go to www.2dive.com.
You can do your
open water certification or
dry suit training
on this trip!
Package price of $379 includes two nights lodging
(shared hotel room) and four dives. Not included: Meals,
tips, and rental equipment (cylinder and weight rental
available on-site for those flying in). Nitrox available
on-site. Single supplement and non-diver rates available
(add $65). A $150 deposit holds your spot and
the balance is due February 21, 2009.
