ReActivate (Skills Refresher)

Our PADI ReActivate / Scuba Tune-Up Skills Refresher program covers the academics (eLearning) and Confined Water (pool) requirements in a single session.

Standard Program Schedule:

Arrive at the Pool for eLearning homework review, approx 45-60 min on deck

Transition into the pool for skill review and practice , approx 1.5 – 2 hours in and out of the water as needed.

*Prior to in-water session, required eLearning homework takes approx. 1.5 – 2 hours to complete, depending upon the student.

ReActivate eLearning needs to be completed before you come to the pool.

Get underwater and shake the rust off of your scuba skills with this one-session knowledge and skills refresher.  If you haven’t dove in the past year, it’s strongly recommended you participate in a refresher before jumping into open water on your vacation or during one of our local dives. (Some resort dive operators may even require it!)

Please note, divers with non-PADI certifications are always welcome to join this class as well.

The PADI ReACTIVATE program starts with the online study portion that needs to be completed before we move to the in-water skills review and practice. The pool session is designed for review & practice of basic scuba skills, including buoyancy control, mask & regulator skills as well as entry/exit skills.  We will also review ALL other skills that you want to work on before your next adventure.

After successful completion of your PADI ReACTIVATE program you will also get a new eCard that will show your ReACTIVATED status and more importantly – A NEW PHOTO!  This is the best way to get ready for your next adventure, and will finally give you a chance to burn your old certification card (you know, the one where you had that awesome 80s hairdo that you have denied you ever had to all your dive buddies).

Private sessions can be scheduled to meet your needs or schedule.

For those who have been out of the water for more than 2 years (or less if you feel you need it) or may be looking for an even more in depth program.  The Super Refresher is completed across 3 days and includes up to 12 hours in the water as opposed to the single day ReActivate program.  Stop in or call the shop and ask for details on our SUPER REFRESHER program.

Complete your Enriched Air (Nitrox) Certification at the same time as your ReActivate or Super Refresher and get Nitrox at 1/2 off.

* Please bring your original scuba certification card with you (or a copy) when you come to the shop.  Can’t find your card?  No problem, DO NOT replace your card just for this program, we can look up your original certification for you a couple other ways also.

* Bring any personal gear you plan to use (mask, fins, snorkel, boots, regs, BCD, dive computer etc.) in for inspection.  There is not additional charge to use any of our gear for this program in case yours no longer fits or isn’t suitable for scuba use.  So rest assured, we will have you geared up and ready to dive safely and comfortably again in no time.

** Students are responsible for transporting their own gear for this program (we will bring tanks and weights for you). **

Stop in at Huron Scuba any time the day before your program, between 1pm and close of business, to pickup as much or as little gear as you need.
