Snorkeling / Skin Diving

Let the fun and excitement begin! This is a great intro to basic snorkeling skills for families about to head out on a warm-water vacation. Learn the safe way to snorkel before you go – and learn how to select gear to make sure you have fun!

You’ll participate in a focused safety briefing and then jump in the pool with your PADI dive professional to learn some new skills or sharpen those you already have.

Upon completion you should be ready for snorkeling with added confidence and safety anywhere in the world.

Prerequisites:

Open to anyone with basic swimming skills.

Minimum age:
6 years. Children under 10 must be accompanied in the water by a parent or guardian.

Limit 8 students.

Pool location:

The pool most programs are normally run at is Dexter Wylie Community Pool (Dexter). Other pools may be used, location varies from class to class and season to season.

Have your own pool?  Call about having a private class setup at your own home.

Equipment provided by student:

Personal snorkeling equipment, if you own it, or use Huron Scuba’s rental equipment (included in class fee).

Equipment provided by Huron Scuba:

Snorkeling equipment and wetsuits, as requested.

Course cost:

$99 per student.

Includes use of snorkeling equipment (or see note below on discount to purchase your own).

Additional expenses:

Purchase any or all new personal snorkeling gear (mask, fins, snorkel and boots) for class with a professional fitting from our staff and also get 10% off !

Optional upgrades:

Make it a private class

  • add $150 total (not per student) for up to 4 students.
  • add $200 total (not per student) for up to 8 students.
