Dry Suit Certification
Some of the world’s best diving is in waters that are a bit chilly – from the well-preserved shipwrecks of the Great Lakes to the spectacular marine life of the Pacific Northwest. Drysuits make these waters accessible while keeping divers warm and comfortable – even in temperate waters such as the Florida springs! Huron Scuba rents top-quality DUI and Bare drysuits to qualified divers, making drysuit diving affordable for everyone (though most people eventually do invest in their own personal suit).
Because a drysuit works by trapping air against your body, training and practice are required in the special techniques of buoyancy control and emergency procedures. This course teaches you those techniques in controlled conditions under the supervision of a qualified Instructor.
Completion of video viewing and knowledge reviews is required before first class session.
Certified Open Water Diver (drysuit training is available during your open water certification dives).
The pool most programs are run at is Dexter Wylie Community Pool (Dexter). Other pools may be used, location varies from class to class and season to season. Have your own pool? Call about having a private class setup at your own home.
