Equipment Specialist
What happens if your regulator has a minor leak or mild freeflow, or your BCD dump valve has a small leak? Can you fix it and save your dives that day, or do you have to sit and watch everyone else’s bubbles until the boat gets back & hope someone knows how to fix it on shore?
Do you want to expand your knowledge and be more self-reliant when it comes to your life support and dive equipment?
Join our Service Manager for Huron Scuba’s regulator repair & equipment specialist class. In this class you will learn how to do simple field repairs for your BCD, regulators, and drysuit. We will give you tips on how to maintain and troubleshoot your equipment between scheduled maintenance. We will also be servicing a regulator, doing a visual inspection on a cylinder, and servicing a cylinder valve. With 16 hours over 2 days, we will help you learn just about everything you could want to know about scuba gear. This is a great way to spend a couple of cold winter days with other divers!
Feel free to bring in your personal gear for use in the hands-on portion of the class. Please don’t bring your regulators to class because we won’t have time to get to all the different regulators possible.
Each class is geared to each particular group, so come prepared with some questions or some specific thing you want to get out of this class and we will do our best to help you meet your goals.
This specialty class also counts towards the five required for PADI Master Scuba Diver certification!
Personal equipment (except regulators) may be brought for use in hands-on workshop.
All tools and demo equipment.
