Ice Diver

When the lakes freeze over, you can keep on diving! Learn how to safely dive beneath the ice, enjoying greatly improved visibility and interacting with sluggish fish.

This PADI Ice Diver course allows you to test the limits of fun, and familiarizes you with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards, and EXCITEMENT of diving under the ice.

During the course you will learn ice diving planning, organization, techniques and potential problems as well as site selection, preparation, special equipment and safety diver procedures. You’ll then put all this into practice when you ice dive within the light zone (within 100 ft total distance from the surface, including vertical and horizontal distance) at a local lake.

Ice diving allows you adventure, the best visibility of the year, less crowds, and year round diving! Now you can tell stories about your dives while the memories are still fresh and new!
